John was born on October 18, 1955 in Eureka, the son of Albert and Gail (Leedy) Jackson. He was raised in the Eureka area attending local schools. Sept 5, 2012 JOHN C. JACKSON John Cecil Jackson of Eureka, died September 2, 2012 at Greenwood County Hospital at the age of 56. John was born on October 18, 1955 in Eureka, the son of Albert and Gail (Leedy) Jackson. He was raised in the Eureka area attending local schools. After his graducation he went to work in oil fields as a rough neck and later as a piperfitter for the oil refineries. John went to work for Greenwood County as a Landfill Foreman and recycling center. John married Gretchen Murray this marriage later ended in a divorce. On January 28, 1995 he was united in marriage to Tami Hart in Eureka, Kansas where they made their home. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Eureka and was a member of the Lion's club. He is survived by his wife Tami of the home, children Jolene Jackson of Kansas City, Missouri; Tent and wife Tina Crisswell of Eureka and Clay and wife Jenny Crisswell of Fredonia; four grandchildren; Terik, Keira, Layton Jo and Taytum Crisswell; sister, Alberta Lewis of New Mexico, Patty Bunyard of Eureka, Phyllis Church of North Carolina and Robin Jackson of Andover. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Desiree Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name to the Lion's club of Eureka and may be left in care of the funeral home at P. O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045
