Description	:	John C. Mundinger, of Kennewick, WA, passed away on December 4, 2008. He was born in Omak on October 22, 1924, to Dave U. Mundinger and Alta Haden. He married Lavon Elder, of Wenatchee, on June 19, 1953. They were the parents of two children, Dave E. Mundinger and Mary Jo Mundinger. John, with the help of Lavon, owned and operated the family business, Omak Feed and Supply, which he purchased from his father, Dave Mundinger and then sold in 1979. He was born in Omak on October 22, 1924, to Dave U. Mundinger and Alta Haden. He married Lavon Elder, of Wenatchee, on June 19, 1953. They were the parents of two children, Dave E. Mundinger and Mary Jo Mundinger. John, with the help of Lavon, owned and operated the family business, Omak Feed and Supply, which he purchased from his father, Dave Mundinger and then sold in 1979. He served as a member of the Okanogan County Fair Board for 17 years. Although he enjoyed his service to the community, he resigned from the board in 1980. John then obtained his realtor license and owned and operated Okanogan Town and Country Realty, which he sold in the late 1980s. John was very active in the Omak Presbyterian Church, with his wife, Lavon, performing many duties to assist with the Sunday services. John loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren, Michael and Shelby and great-grandchildren, Joseph and Audrey Grace, who was born just days before his passing. John will be deeply missed by his family and friends. After residing in Omak all of his life, John and Lavon moved to Kennewick, in June, 2003, to be closer to their family. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on June 28, 2003, soon after moving to Kennewick. John made many wonderful friends at Charbonneau, where he has lived since moving to the Tri Cities. John is survived by his son, Dave Mundinger and his wife, Marcia of Richland, WA; his daughter, Mary Mundinger of Anchorage, AK; his grandson, Michael Mundinger and his wife, Brianne of East Wenatchee, WA; his granddaughter, Shelby Mundinger of South Lake Tahoe, NV; his great-grandson, Joseph Mundinger; and his great-granddaughter, Audrey Grace Mundinger. John is also survived by his brother, Del Mundinger and his wife, Ruth of Omak; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife, Lavon; his parents; and his brother, Ralph Mundinger. Graveside Services will be held in Omak, WA, in the spring of 2009.
