Read More	DEATH OF JOHN ECKERT Septuagenarian Passes Away at Home of His Daughter, Mrs. Frank Kootz Sunday John Eckert, 79 years of age, passed away Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Kootz at 100 Avenue G east. The deceased was born in Germany in 1839 and came to this country in 1866. In 1879 he was married to Tilda Klukas to which union were born six children, all of whom are living. They are, Mrs. Frank Kootz, Mrs. E. C. White, both of this city, George Eckert and Mrs. Berty Healey of Chicago, August Eckert of Wichita and Peter Eckert, of San Pierre, Ind. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Kootz Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. C. W. Nelson. The remains were taken to San Pierre, Ind., where funeral services will be conducted next Sunday. Obituary published in The Hutchinson Gazette (Hutchinson, KS), on Tuesday, February 26, 1918, pg. 8. *According to the Indiana, U. S., Select Marriages Index, 1748-1993, John and Matilda were married April 26, 1882 in Cass County, IN, differing from the obituary which reads 1879.*
