Description	:	Delphos Republican April 29, 1948 John Ferdinand Wisbey, son of Alvin and Nancy Wisbey, was born August 25, 1880, in Cloud County, Kansas. He departed this life April 21, 1948 at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 26 days at his home in Delphos, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Della Stortz January 11, 1906. To this union one daughter and three sons were born: Glenn, of San Angelo, Texas; Arthur, of Blue Mound, Kansas; Lorena King, of Glasco, Kansas; and Loren, of Glasco, Kansas. To this union one daughter and three sons were born: Glenn, of San Angelo, Texas; Arthur, of Blue Mound, Kansas; Lorena King, of Glasco, Kansas; and Loren, of Glasco, Kansas. John spent more of his life farming in the Delphos neighborhood. In later life, owing to poor health, he moved to his home in Delphos, Kansas. John was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge in Delphos. He leaves to cherish the memory of his good life, his wife, children, eight grandchildren, four sisters: Mrs. Lillie Kent, Mrs. Josie Bellows, Mrs. Dollie Bellows, all of Delphos, Kansas; and Mrs. Orpha Zigler, Vanover, Wash.; three brothers: Walter, of Concordia, Kansas; Emerson, of Glasco, Kansas; and Frank, of Clinton Missouri; several nieces, nephews, and a host of neighbors and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Orville Hall from the Methodist Church in Delphos, Kansas Friday afternoon, April 23. Pallbearers were Millard Keener, Ray Everley, Melvin Garrison, Alfred Tasker, Howard Cain and Lester Talley. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Hartley Funeral Service was in charge of funeral arrangements.
