Description	:	John was the son of Johann Bernard Siepker and Bridget Montergal. He married Minnie Reuter on Feb 16, 1879 in Grant county, Wisconsin. They were the parents of William, Joseph, Frank, John, Anna, Louis, Nathan, Bernard, and George. They raised their granddaughter Loretta Lamberty. Dec 27, 1930 - Carroll Daily Herald - John Siepker, a resident of Carroll, died at 10 p.m. at the St Anthony Hospital where he was taken for treatment. Those surviving are 6 sons and a daughter: Will Siepker of Carroll; Joe Siepker of Early; John Siepker of Templeton: Louis Siepker, Ben Siepker, and George Siepker, all of Des Moines; Mrs. Ed Wiese (Anna) of Austin, Mn. He also leaves two brothers, Frank Siepker of Potosi, WI; and George Siepker of Platteville, WI; and the following brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Wieland of Carroll; Nathan Reuter of Fleming, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fiebig of Sheldon, Joe Reuter of Carnarvon. Besides the above there are 32 grand children, among them Miss Loretta Lamberty, who made her home with her home with her grandparents for I18 years, and three great grandchildren. A brother, the Rev. Father Bernard Siepker of Waunake, WI, died Dec. 4, 1916. Siepkers wife died May 12, 192C4. Mr. Siepker spent the greater part of his life on the farm and by hard work and faithfulness to his duties acquired considerable property. Since his retirement from active duties he lived quietly with his wife until death claimed his helpmate. In his later years he has been carefully tended by his young granddaughter, Miss Loretta Lamberty, to whom he was devoted, and his sons have constantly returned to Carroll; to look after his welfare. He was a member of the Holy Name society and a devout member of Ss Peter and Paul church. He died well fortified with the rites of the church. The following children and family were with him arriving in time before he died: Mr. Louis Siepker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Siepker and family, and George Siepker, all of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wiese and family of Austin, MN; Mr. and Mrs. John. Siepker and family of Templeton; and Joe Siepker and family of Early.
