Emery Wholesale Fruit Co., was a cigarmaker, and for 33 years was employed by Lagomarcino-Grupe Co. The son of Andrew D. and Charlotte McGee Findlay, he was born in Ottumwa Dec. 12, 1884, and had been a resident here all his life. His marriage to Edna E. Burnett took place Jan. 8, 1907 [sic]. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Evans of Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Don Nicholson of Ottumwa, and two sons, Robert Findlay of Hedrick and Harold Findlay of Ottumwa. His first wife died Nov. 20, 1944. He was married to Grace Hicks, Aug. 31, 1957, in Ottumwa. She survives. He also leaves seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. The service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Knauss, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Hendricks, Fred Blount, Joe Long, John Bussing, Don Wagner and Lister Kershaw.
