Description	:	John H. Chandler, 94, of Ster ling, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, in Greeley. Visitation and viewing began at noon today at Chancy-Walters Chapel. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Sterling, followed by burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John E. Roberts will conduct the services. Mr. Chandler was born Sept. 28, 1901 in Churubusco, md., the son of Alfred E. and Mary Jane Maddick Chandler. Before moving to Steling in 1910, he had lived in Nebraska. John E. Roberts will conduct the services. Mr. Chandler was born Sept. 28, 1901 in Churubusco, md., the son of Alfred E. and Mary Jane Maddick Chandler. Before moving to Steling in 1910, he had lived in Nebraska. He homestead with his family north west of Sterling. He worked on the first road constructon project in the Grand Tetons in the 1920s, and also at the Sterling sugar factory. He married Lucille Crandall June 1, 1929, in Fort Morgan. He worked for the City of Sterling throughout most of the 1930s. During World War II Mr. Chandler was a pipefitter in the Bremer ton Navy Yards in Bremerton, Wash. After the war he worked at the Graham Hotel, and worked in maintenance and plumbing, and in sign painting until his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sterling and was active in the Heritage Center of Sterling. Mr. Chandler is survived by sons John and wife Sue of Nashville, Tenn., Donald and wife Pat of Greeley, and George of Greeley; daughters Marjorie Gal loway of Brighton and Mary Nadow and husband Don of Longmont; brother Victor of Port Townsend, Wash.; sister Ruth Guiraud of Sterling, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. -He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, in 1984; sons Charles and William Chandler; brothers Dwight and Ernest; sisters Edith and Ethel Chandler; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.
