Description	:	John H. Flory, 79, well-known retired Adams tp. farmer of rt. 4, Defiance, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday in Toledo Hospital, Toledo. He had been ill with carcinoma since last November and was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 24. Mr. Flory was born on May 11, 1882, a son of Henry and Magdalena (Lehman) Flory. His first wife, the former Phoebe Luderman, to whom he was married in 1903, died in 1918. In 1921, he married Zepha (Hull) Hornish, who passed away in 1935. His first wife, the former Phoebe Luderman, to whom he was married in 1903, died in 1918. In 1921, he married Zepha (Hull) Hornish, who passed away in 1935. Surviving are five sons, Maynard, Toledo, Willis and Lowell, both of Decatur, Mich., Emanuel (Sie), rt. 4 , Defiance, and John Jacob, Inkster, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Emma) Beabout, Toledo, Mrs. Bernard (Irene) Schudel, Defiance, and Mrs. William (May) Sue, Orlando, Fla.; 34 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Chase and Mrs. Elizabeth Carpenter; and five brothers, Charles, George, Eli, Frank and Jacob. Mr. Flory retired from farming four years ago. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Chruch, Montpelier. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mansfield-Mast funeral home, with the Rev. Elden Flory, Hart, Mich. officiating. The burial will be in North Poplar Ridge Church cemetery.
