Description	:	John Henry From - Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Knott Funeral Chapel for John H. From. From, 80, a longtime resident of Butler County, died Friday at the David City Hospital. He had been ill several weeks following a stroke. Rev. Mearl C. Smith officiated at the service. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near David City. John Henry From, son of James and Emeline From, was born at Marshalltown, Iowa, April 18, 1875. On February 28, 1900, he was united in marriage to Eva May Barlean. To this union were born two sons and three daughters, all of whom survive. They are Ray of Surprise, Josephine Newcome of Gretna, Ruby Heins, Gene and Blanche of David City. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, on brother, France of Bellwood, one sister, Myrtie Barlean of David City, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife, father, mother, four brothers and one sister.
