Description	:	Eva Mae Barlean, daughter of Samuel and Ella Barlean, was born in Olive Township, Butler County, Nebraska, September 18, 1880. She passed away at her home, eight miles west of David City, June 3rd, 1932. On February 28, 1900, she was united in marriage to John H. From. To this union were born five children, Josephine Newcomb, Ulysses; Ray From, Surprise; Eugene From, David City; Blanch and Ruby still at home. Read More	Eva Mae Barlean, daughter of Samuel and Ella Barlean, was born in Olive Township, Butler County, Nebraska, September 18, 1880. She passed away at her home, eight miles west of David City, June 3rd, 1932. On February 28, 1900, she was united in marriage to John H. From. To this union were born five children, Josephine Newcomb, Ulysses; Ray From, Surprise; Eugene From, David City; Blanch and Ruby still at home. Mrs. From was converted soon after her marriage at revival meetings being held at the West Olive School house, conducted by Rev. Frank Mills and was affiliated with the Methodist church. Rev. Mills performed the marriage ceremony for Mr. and Mrs. John From. Mrs. From was a beautiful character. She had been a sufferer for many years, yet bore up under her yoke wonderfully. In her suffering she was always a loving mother and wife. To make sacrifices for her family was one of her earthly pleasures. She was of a loving nature and all who knew her returned that love. During the last days, when she realized that the end was near and she was soon to leave her loved ones, she expressed her supreme faith in God and was not afraid to go. Her work here was finished and she has been called to her rich reward in heaven. All was done for her that loving hands could do, but it was her Saviors will that she come home. She leaves to morn her death, her husband, five children, two grandchildren, Betty Newcomb and Evelyn From, two brothers and four sisters, James and George Barlean of David City; Clara Piney, Santa Barbara, California; Effie Raitt, Cherryvale, Kansas; Eva Edwards and Ella McLaughlin, David City, also a number of nieces and nephews besides a host of warm friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brother Edward and sister Cora. This wife and mother has been taken away, but she has left a heritage that will last forever and will be a guiding hand to those whom she so dearly loved. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. Frank Mills of Lincoln. as printed in the Banner Press - David City, Nebraska
