Description	:	Georgetown, SC John Henry Gladson, 90, a retired bridge tender formerly employed by the South Carolina State Highway Department, died Friday, January 3, 1969, in the South Carolina State Hospital Infirmary. Mr. Gladson was born May 31, 1878, in the Sampit community of Georgetown County. He was a son of the late William Dempsey Gladson and the late Loraine Horne Gladson. Mr. Gladson had been a life-long resident of Georgetown County. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Sulie Jayroe Gladson; a son, John Henry Gladson Jr. of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Ryland W. Funeral services were January 5, 1969, in Sampit Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in the churchyard.
