Driver, Jr. 1997 --------------------------------- MR. JOHN H. SOLES Mr. John H. Soles, of Soles, VA., died at his home on March 13th, at the age of 82 years. Funeral services were conducted at Locust Grove on March 15th by his pastor, Rev. R. A. Craig. Mr. Soles was a member of Locust Grove for many years, and a faithful christian. He served in the Confederate army, and was a man of high christian character, respected and esteemed by all who knew him. He had been in failing health for some time, but not until the last five days of his life his condition was considered serious, when he was strickened with paralysis. He is survived by three sons, D. S. and J. R. Soles of Cobbs Creek, G. H. Soles, of Soles; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Hodges, of Cobbs Creek, Misses Susie and Lucy Soles, of Soles; two brothers, C. C. and A. E.
