They first settled in Montour, Iowa where his father worked on railroad. Later his parents moved to farm in Carroll Township. There he grew to manhood. The 1st of May 1893 at the Holy Trinity Church he married Agnes Pscenica the daughter of Michael and Cecilia (Hanzelka) Pscenica. They farmed for many years in Carroll Township. In 1915 they moved to a farm northeast of Toledo in Toledo Township. Agnes Pscenica was born May 10, 1874 in Libost, Moravia, Czechoslavakia. She immigrated with her parents at the age of six to the United States. They were the parents of three children: Anna Mary, William and Hattie Agnes. Anna Mary (1894-1984) married Frank Dvorak (1888-1980). He was the son of Joseph and Antonia (Kucera) Dvorak. They were the parents of five children: Milo of Clutier; Mrs. Albert (Agnes) Podhajsky of Toledo; Leo of Clutier; Bernard J. of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. James (Mary Ann) Mathews of Reading, Pennsylvania. William Husak (1895-1980) married Mary Zmolek (1895-1985). She was the daughter of Anthony and Julia (Zamastil) Zmolek. They were the parents of nine children: Charles W. Husak of Toledo, Mrs. Joseph (Julia) Benda of Elberon; Phyllis (Sister Philomena) of Cedar Rapids with the Sisters of Mercy Sacred Heart Convent; Paul J. Husak of Toledo; John V. Husak of Toledo; Emil Husak (State Senator of Iowa) of Toledo; William Husak of Grinnell and Peter Husak of Iowa City. A son Adolph died infancy in 1924. Hattie married John Cibula (1904-1972). He was the son of Frank and Magdalene (Ledvina) Cibula. They were the parents of three daughters. Mrs. Phillip (Bernadette) Hlas of Toledo; Mrs. Donald (Maxine) Upah of Toledo and Mrs. John (Kathleen) Runyan of Urbandale. Mr. Husak passed away July 29, 1961 and Mrs. Husak May 26, 1948. Interment was made in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Otter Creek Township. Both Mr. and Mrs. Husak were members of the Holy Trinity Church. by Mrs. Mary C.
