Description	:	John J. Ensz was born to Freni and Jacob Ensz, October 17, 1903 near Marion, S. Dak. He passed away at the Tieszen Memorial Home on May 26th, 1996 at the age of 92. On May 28, 1923, he married Elizabeth Mamie Perry in Papillian, Nebraska. On May 28 they would have been married 73 years. John farmed around the Dolton area and worked at Ortmann implement for many years. He later started his own shop in Dolton which he called the Dolton Tractor Shop. He passed away at the Tieszen Memorial Home on May 26th, 1996 at the age of 92. On May 28, 1923, he married Elizabeth Mamie Perry in Papillian, Nebraska. On May 28 they would have been married 73 years. John farmed around the Dolton area and worked at Ortmann implement for many years. He later started his own shop in Dolton which he called the Dolton Tractor Shop. He moved to Marion in 1969 and opened a lawnmower shop in a building in his backyard. He retired at the age of 85 years. At this time he started building memories from his past. He built the homes he used to live in as a child, teh sleighs, and hayracks that he was so well acquainted with in his early years. He loved music and was involved in singing and playing his guitar in several bands in the Marion area - the last was the Old Timers Band. John and Mamie were converted in 1933 at a tent meeting at the EMB Church. John was very active in Church, teaching Sunday School Church in the early years and later the Missionary Church in Dolton. After moving to Marion they attended the Church of God. He served the Lord wholeheartedly during his lifetime and during the past year he looked forward greatly to going home to be with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 infant siblings, a brother, David, a sister Mary Gross, 2 grandchildren adn 1 daughter-in-law. He is survived by his wife Mamie and his 7 children, Darrel, Evelyn, Donald, Marylou, Elaine, Martha, and Alice, 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 sisters, Martha Ortman and Luella Weins and a host of relatives and friends.
