Description	:	John Horky was born Nov. 1, 1896, at Farwell, Nebr., and departed this life Dec. 17, 1951, at the University hospital in Omaha. He lived to the age of 55 years, 1 month and 17 days. Johnny, as he was called by his many friends, came to Angus to live in 1912. Since that time, with the exception of a few brief periods, he resided there. Aong those surviving to mourn his passing are: his mother, Mrs. Kate Horky, with whom he made his home; two sisters, Mrs. A.L. Dillon of Bostwick, Nebr., and Mrs. O.B. Rhoads of Lingle, Wyo.; one brother, Edward, of Cheplan, Wash., six nieces and one nephew. During the long illness that precedded Johnny's death, there was no complaining or bitterness. He bore the great suffering that was his patiently. The fact that he will be missed by a large number of friends and relatives is evidenced by the many cards and letters he received while in the hospital. Funeral services were conducted from the Angus E.U.B. church (sic) on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. by Don DeBord. Miss Cloma King and Mrs. Don DeBord sang "In The Garden" and "Going Down The Valley."
