White, Gary White, Curtis White, Phillip Hegstrom and Michael Clark. Wake was Wednesday at 7 p.m. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Anthon, under the direction of Walter Funeral Home. Military rites were conducted at the graveside by the Anthon McNiff Post. John was born at Anthon to John J. Rourke and Catherine Jerman Rourke March 1, 1919. He lived in Anthon before moving to Sioux City where he lived for the past twenty years. He married Marcia Weber June 30, 1947, in Anthon. He worked as a warehouseman and also farmed . Before his death he worked for S & H Green Stamp. John was a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux City, Past Knights of Columbus in Anthon, American Legion Monahan #64 in Sioux City and Past Moose Lodge in Sioux City. Survivors are his wife of Sioux City, one brother, Ivan of Anthon, five sisters, Mrs. Keith (Muriel) Downing of Norfolk, Virginia; Mrs. Rita O'Connell of Anthon; Mrs. Tony (Bernadine) Marfisi of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Lawrence (Kathleen) Hudgel of Casper, Wyoming; and Mrs. Gene (Moyna) Milo of San Francisco, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
