MEMORIAL ID 69841666 John Kerr John Kerr, for many years a resident of this city, died at his home near Minatare, Nebraska, September 14, 1911. He was born in Ireland January 14, 1849 and came to Philadelphia, Pa., in 1873 and a year later to Delaware county. He was married to Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson in this county in 1875 and lived here continuously until the death of his wife which occurred in 1897, when he moved to a farm near Minatare, Nebraska, which place has since been his home. He was for a number of years the proprietor of the Manchester House in this city and had a large circle of friends here who sincerely mourn his death. The remains were brought to this city by William Johnson of Minatare, a step son of decedent. He was also step father of Robert Johnson of Fort Dodge. For the past year Mr. Kerr had been a sufferer from Brights disease. The funeral services were held at Silver Creek Sunday, Rev. Perry officiated. Interment was made in Silver Creek cemetery.
