| Description | : | John L. Good was born in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, April 9, 1845, and died at the home of his son, C. Grant Good, near Ogden, Iowa, June 8, 1928. His parents were Daniel and Margaret (Reedy) Good. In boyhood, he attended public school. He enlisted in Company I, One Hundred and Seventy-seventh Pennsylvania Infantry, and after his term of enlistment expired, re-enlisted in Company H, Two Hundred and Tenth Pennsylvania Infantry.
