John immigrated about 1913 with his wife Anna Gregory Loskutov and two children. The note below says he also had a son Peter who never left Russia. Our John P. Susoeff arrived in America in 1913. The family says they came through Ellis Island, but I can't find anything about them in the Ellis Island Records. I have them on the 1920 census in Sheridan, Placer County, California. It shows that they came in 1913 and place of birth was Armenia and language spoken is Russian. The family has always called themselves Russian. I am trying to learn the Armenian history to make sense of this. The family did say that they were persecuted because they were Molokan and they were pushed down near the Turkey border. I also found a Fred Loscutoff living on the same land in this 1920 census and next store was the family of Fred Susoeff who came to America in 1907 and their first child was born in Texas. I do have death certificates for John P. Susoeff and Ann Georgia Loscutoff Susoeff. It gave us their parents names which were George Loscutoff and Mary Buchneff Loscutoff. John's parents are Patap Susoeff and Fenya Konnovaloff. I know that I have found a lot of Susoeff names on the California index of deaths and births.
