He was Mustered Out on 6/14/1865 at Nashville, TN. the below excerpt is from the Oct.1, 1929 obituary of Sarah Demree, the past widow of John Binkley) ----------- 'Dublin, Ind., Oct.1'-...'Mrs. Demree was one of the few to receive the maximum soldier's widow's pension, as she was married before the war to John R.
