Description	:	John William McClure, age 80, of Brookville, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Sunrise Care Center in Hamilton, Ohio. Born May 21, 1927 in Springfield Township, Franklin County he was the only son of the late Henry F.B. & Vina (Bossert) McClure. He graduated from the former Springfield High School in 1947, his high school days having been interrupted by a tour in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Read More	John William McClure, age 80, of Brookville, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Sunrise Care Center in Hamilton, Ohio. Born May 21, 1927 in Springfield Township, Franklin County he was the only son of the late Henry F.B. & Vina (Bossert) McClure. He graduated from the former Springfield High School in 1947, his high school days having been interrupted by a tour in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After graduation he began a trucking business in the Whitcomb, Indiana area. In the late 1950's he became a school photographer for Barksdale Studios, taking pictures in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. During the summer months he worked for the Rogers Production Company, which staged ceremonies and celebrations all over the United States. John was very involved with the Brookville Sesquicentennial in 1958. In later years he had an "Old Time Photography Shop" in Metamora, Indiana, and also photographed weddings for many years. He was immediate past-president of the Big Cedar Cemetery Association. Survivors include a sister, Jeralyn Roberts of Brookville; two nieces, Nancy Roberts (Fiancé, Randall Patterson) and Kathleen Armstrong; two grand nephews, Jason (Leslie) Armstrong and Matt Armstrong; one great grand niece, Kaia Armstrong; and two great grand nephews, Declan and Jason Blake; as well as many other friends and relatives. Rev. Paul Ayers will officiate the funeral services on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 11:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, Brookville, with burial following in Big Cedar Cemetery. Family & friends may visit from 9:30 till 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2007 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
