Funeral services were conducted that morning at the Christian Church in Summersville by Mr. Lloyd Cochran. Mr. Miller formerly resided in the Olean community where he operated a farm at one time. Beofre going o Summersville he lived in Oregon and Colorado for several years. About 30 years ago he moved to Texas County where he operated a large cattle ranch near Summersville until he retired because of his age. Born August 26, 1857, near Olean, he was the son of Eliga and Elizabeth (Musick) Miller. On May 27, 1877, he was married to Mary Susanna Gilleland, and they were the parents of five children. After the death of his wife in 1936 he married Sarah A. Ralston in 1938. He united with the Christian Church at Olean in early manhood. One son, Gail, preceded him in death in 1889, and a grandson, John Burlingame, died October 6, 1950. Besides the widow, survivors include four children, Mrs. W. M. Haynes, Eldon, Mrs. W.T. Kidwell, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. August B. Burlingame, Patton, Mo.; Floyd J. Miller, Summersville; and nine grandchildren, Hershel and William Kidwell of Oregon, Mrs. Portia Atkins of California, Stanley Haynes, Kansas City; Mrs. Brooks Kehr, Eldon; Mrs. Dexter Korokis, Frederickstown, Mo.; Harold and Roland Miller, Summersville; and Floyd Jean Miller, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
