Description	:	******************************************* Joseph Vrbsky was born Oct. 17, 1863 at Hyskov, Okres, near Beroun, Czechoslovakia. He came to America in 1877 with his parents, the family settled on a homestead near Hallam where he experienced the normal hardships and privetness of most of the early settlers. From the age of fourteen years he worked for other people. In 1887 he was married to Miss Agnes Trachta with whom he lived happily for forty-five years. Read More	******************************************* Joseph Vrbsky was born Oct. 17, 1863 at Hyskov, Okres, near Beroun, Czechoslovakia. He came to America in 1877 with his parents, the family settled on a homestead near Hallam where he experienced the normal hardships and privetness of most of the early settlers. From the age of fourteen years he worked for other people. In 1887 he was married to Miss Agnes Trachta with whom he lived happily for forty-five years. After marriage the young couple settled on a farm in Hayes County, Nebr., where they lived for eight years. From here they moved to a farm near Dorchester where they lived sixteen years. In the year 1919 they moved to Crete. After a short illness, he died at a Lincoln hospital, Wednesday morning December 14. The funeral was held at the Sokol hall at Crete Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Zavadil of Wilber. A quartet composed of Mrs. John Shebl, Mrs. Marie Plouzek, Miss Emma Nedela and Mrs. Elsie Drvo sang. Interment was at Pleasant Hill cemetery. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife; four daughters, Josie, Agnes, Emma and Marie; three sons, Fred, James and Alois. Two sons preceded him in death.
