Ringgold, son of Wyatt and Mary Ringgold, departed this life at 11 a.m., March 21,1895. Eyes have been filled with tears, hearts made sad, and home so lonely; yet while we realize that there is one less on earth, we have the blessed assurance that one more has been added to that heavenly choir around the great white throne of God. Read More	Only a student at the time of his death from consumption, the following is from an 1895 family clipping from the Arkansas Methodist newspaper. -- Joseph E. Ringgold, son of Wyatt and Mary Ringgold, departed this life at 11 a.m., March 21,1895. Eyes have been filled with tears, hearts made sad, and home so lonely; yet while we realize that there is one less on earth, we have the blessed assurance that one more has been added to that heavenly choir around the great white throne of God. He was a devoted Christian, was converted when young and joined the M.E. Church South, and remained a consistent and zealous member until his death. He fought a good fight and has finished his course. He talked freely of his spiritual welfare, and his testimony proved that he was fully prepared to meet his God. In his last moments he noticed that his relatives and friends were weeping. He asked the cause and was told. He then turned to his mother and said "Mother, you should rejoice to know that your son is prepared, and is going to reign with Jesus." ...... A Friend
