Description	:	Joseph, son of John and Martha Peck Pritchard, was born in a sod house in Sherman County. He attended Pleasant Valley School. During the summer of 1892 little Joe was injured when a pitchfork was thrown from a haystack and the tine entered his head. He recovered but was crippled in one hand and leg. Joe was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge. He joined at Litchfild in 1913, then was one of the charter members of the Pleasanton Lodge, being an active member at the time of his death. He was survived by brothers, Arthur, Rolland, Robert, and Cecil; and his sisters, Hattie Moxley of Lebanon, Oregon, and Mary Souser of Otis, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nieces Beulah Fern Souser and Carolyn Faye Pritchard. Pallbearers were Raymond Hand, Ray Reese, Donald Kohlscheen, Cecil Pritchard, Cliftom Bell and Bill Lammers. Services were held at the Pleasanton E.U.B. church Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. Bornemeier officating. Singers were Darold Eaton, Carroll Ritter, Billy Phillips, and Warren Valentine. Burial was in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
