Description	:	JOSEPH FRANK BLECHA Joseph Frank Blecha, son of Frank Joseph and Anna Mary (Schultz) Blecha was born Dec. 10, 1896 and passed away Oct. 19th, 1980 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and nine days, at St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln, Nebr., where he was a patient for 10 days. He was born and grew to manhood on a farm northwest of Pawnee City. On Nov. 16, 1926 he married Mary Etta Weis at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Summerfield, Ks. He then moved on a farm one mile west of his home place where he farmed and lived the rest of his life. To this union eight children were born, all of whom survive him. He was baptized in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Steinauer, Nebr. where he was a member all of his life. He attended grade school at Wide Awake, Dist. 48 Rural School. He is survived by his wife Mary and eight children: five sons: John J., Charles F., and Robert J. of the home. Morris E. of Pawnee City, Nebr. and Richard A. of Humboldt, Nebr.; three daughters, Betty A., and Joan C. of the home and Mrs. Ernest J. (Mary) Jean) Shinn of DuBois, Nebr.; 15 grandchildren, one son-in-law; two daughters-in-las; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Wenzl, and one brother, Frank. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, a hard working farmer, who loved the ourdoors. He built many buildings on his farmstead where he lived, as he enjoyed working with tools, and most of all enjoyed raising Hereford cattle. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Steinauer, Nebr., on Oct. 22, 1980 at 10:00 with Father Harold Birkel officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Marvin A. Blecha, David R. Blecha, Kevin S. Blecha, Mark E. Blecha, Donald E. Shinn and Raymond J. Shinn. Interment was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Steinauer, Nebr.
