Description	:	Death Notice The Tipton Conservative July 27, 1898 DIED HOON-Joseph Hoon was born January 5, 1823 and died July 24, 1898, aged 75 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Dorn, in Somerset, Pa., Dec. 31, 1846. To them were born ten children, six of whom, three sons and three daughters, are living and all were present at the funeral services. Read More	Death Notice The Tipton Conservative July 27, 1898 DIED HOON-Joseph Hoon was born January 5, 1823 and died July 24, 1898, aged 75 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Dorn, in Somerset, Pa., Dec. 31, 1846. To them were born ten children, six of whom, three sons and three daughters, are living and all were present at the funeral services. From Pennsylvania they moved to Tipton, Iowa, in the spring of 1865, where he resided till his death. Mr. Hoon has been in quite feeble health for several years, but the direct cause of death was an attack of hemorrhage of the lungs early Sunday morning, from which he died quite suddenly. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. A. Gelwicks from the family home Monday at 2 p.m., and the remains interred in Masonic cemetery.
