Description	:	Joe Tempel Rites Held at Kamrar Joe Temple, 81, longtime resident of the Kamrar community, died suddenly Dec. 24 at his farm home one-half mile south of Kamrar. He had been in ill health the past two years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church east of Kamrar with the Rev. Loren Parman officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery east of Kamrar. Joe Tempel, son of John and Thalke Tempel, was born May 7, 1885, on a farm near Webster City. He received his education in the Kamrar schools and grew to young manhood in the Kamrar community. He was united in marriage, March 30, 1909, to Hilka Welp, and the couple had always farmed in the Kamrar community. He is survived by his wife; seven sons and five daughters, John Tempel, Kamrar, Richard Tempel, Webster City, Virgil Tempel, Jewell, Harold Tempel, Donald Tempel, Joey Tempel and Elton Tempel, all of Kamrar; Mrs. Harry (Katie) Hassebrock, Jewell, Mrs. Gaylord (Dorothy) Hoversten, Radcliffe, Mrs. Margaret Arends, Jewell, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Anderson, Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Francis (Naomi) Park, Webster City, 34 grandchildren 24 great-grandcildren; one brother Harm Tempel, Kamrar, and one sister, Mrs. Della Vaubel, Webster City. He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Wyatt Arends, by one great-grandson; by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Mr. Tempel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
