Tempel, prominent pioneer resident in the Kamrar community, died at one o'clock last Saturday morning at her house near Kamrar, after a long sickness. Death was due to carcinoma of the liver with complications incident to her advanced age. The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon with Funeral Director A. L. Fleenor of Jewell in charge. Death was due to carcinoma of the liver with complications incident to her advanced age. The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon with Funeral Director A. L. Fleenor of Jewell in charge. A service was held at the home at 1 o'clock and at 1:30 at the German Presbyterian church, the pastor, Rev. Mr. Sinning, officiating. Six of her grandsons served as pall bearers. Interment was in the Presbyterian cemetery. Talka T. Schaa, daughter of Adolph and Jennie Schaa, was born at Beschotenwig, Germany, July 12, 1848, and died at Kamrar, Iowa, March 12, 1932, aged 83 years and 8 months. She came to Hamilton county, Iowa, in the year 1881, and has lived here ever since except for a short time in Minnesota and in Lyon county, Iowa. She was married in Germany Sept. 2, 1873, to John Tempel. To this union 7 children were born, all of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Geo. Klaver, Joe Tempel, and Mrs. Henry Vauble [Vaubel], all of Kamrar; Harm Tempel, of Williams; Peter Tempel, of Lenox, S. D.; Adolph Tempel of Davis, S. D.; and John Tempel of Twin Brooks, S. D. Her husband died 22 years ago. Mrs. Tempel was a faithful member of the German Presbyterian church.
