Description	:	Joseph Komarek was born in Czechoslovakia, October 8, 1866. He passed away in Geneva, Neb., at 4 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 1945, following a prolonged heart ailment. He came to the United States at the age of sixteen and settled at Friend, Neb. November 1, 1890, he united in marriage to Mary Kotrous at St. Stephen's Church in Exeter. To this union were born five sons and three daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Komarek farmed in Saline and Fillmore counties thirty years, coming to Geneva to retire in 1920. Mr. Komarek leaves to mourn his... Read More	Joseph Komarek was born in Czechoslovakia, October 8, 1866. He passed away in Geneva, Neb., at 4 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 1945, following a prolonged heart ailment. He came to the United States at the age of sixteen and settled at Friend, Neb. November 1, 1890, he united in marriage to Mary Kotrous at St. Stephen's Church in Exeter. To this union were born five sons and three daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Komarek farmed in Saline and Fillmore counties thirty years, coming to Geneva to retire in 1920. Mr. Komarek leaves to mourn his departure besides his widow, five sons, Frank of Fairmont, Sylvester of Geneva, Ben of Omaha, Fred of Hebron and Joe of Hastings; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Murphy of Exeter, Mrs. Ralph Bieghler of Geneva and Mrs. Jack Burton of Lincoln, also twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Geneva with Rev. James F. Gilroy officiating. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery at Geneva.
