Mr. Ledvina suffered a stroke about three weeks ago and had been in the hospital since that time. He also suffered a stroke some years ago. Mr. Ledvina suffered a stroke about three weeks ago and had been in the hospital since that time. He also suffered a stroke some years ago. Joseph Ledvina, 82, was born April 17, 1857, near Prague, Czechoslovakia, the son of Frank and Maggie Ledvina. He came to this country when seven years of age and lived on a farm in Otter Creek township. He was educated in the rural schools. On February 2, 1880, he was married to Miss Mary Chalupnik. The Ledvinas lived on a farm in Otter Creektownship until they moved to Toledo nine years ago. Mr. Ledvina is survived by his widow and six children—Frank Ledvina, of Tama; Mrs. Frank Wacha, Dysart; Mrs. Emma Schepple, Cedar Rapids; Louis Ledvina, Chelsea; Mrs. Harry Burhenn, Dysart; Emil Ledvina, Chelsea. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Joseph's church in Chelsea. The services were in charge of the Rev. A. P. Meyer, of Tama, and the Rev. W. F. Panek, of Chelsea. Services were conducted at the Ledvina home in Toledo at 8 a. m. and at the church at 9 a. m. Burial was in the Stayskal cemetery in Otter Creek township.
