He died at the Deaconess hospital In Marshalltown. The deceased was born February 4, 1889, the son of Joseph and Mary Ledvina at the home farm In Otter Creek township' near Chelsea. He was wed on February 10, 1014 to Elizabeth Kasal. They were the parents of three children: Lester now occupying the home place; Lucille Cory of Ventura, California; and Edward, who died at the age of twelve. The couple began farming In Otter Creek township on Ills father's farm. Four years later they moved to the E. I. Tyler farm and continued to live there until his semiretirement to Chelsea in 1947. He spent his remaining years In Chelsea but was still active in grain and livestock farming. Survivors besides his wife and two children are eight grandchildren, Sandra Kay, Shirlee Ann and Bonnie Jean Ledvina, Larry, Lynn, Lorraine, Lee and Linda Cory; his sisters, Mary Wacha of Traer; Emme Schepple of Cedar Rapids; Libby Burhenn of Dysart and a brother, Emil of Chelsea. Funeral services were held from the Hrabak Funeral home, Chelsea, on Sunday, May 8 at 2p.m. Rev. John Rhodes of LeGrand officiated. Mrs. Thelma Shadle was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Marie Christman Ho was buried in the National cemetery at Vining. Casket bearers were: Milo Kupka, I William Novak, James Prusha, William Kucera, Ross Earheart and Charles Viktora. Contributor: George (48419540)
