Description	:	INFANT DIES IN HOUGHTON Joe Nichting, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nichting, Houghton, Iowa, died at 11:30 o'clock Sunday morning at his home after an illness of only two days duration. Death was due to spinal meningitis. The child was born in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison, July 7, 1940 and was eight months and nine days old. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church in Houghton. Surviving are his parents; one brother, Harold Nichting; two sisters, Joan and Barbara Ann Nichting and his grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Mertens, all residents of Houghton.
