Howe Saturday September 1, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bayard. Rev. Fr. M.G. Kelliher, pastor of the church, acted as celebrant. The Rev. Fr. HOWE Joseph Thomas Howe, son of Daniel and Catherine Waters Howe, was born December 1, 1886, in Willow township, Greene county, Iowa and passed away August 29, 1951, at Des Moines at the age of 64 years, eight months and 17 days. Mr. Howe has lived in Willow township all his life, where he farmed the home place. He was a member of St. Patrick's church in Bayard; president of the school board for several years, and an officer of the Farmers Cooperative Elevator, was on the Township committee of the AAA for many years and also took care of the books for the Willow township cemetery since 1926. Earlier in his life he taught in the rural schools of Greene county. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one brother and one sister.
