Surviving are five daughters and three sons: Mrs. Richard Kennedy (Hazel), of Toronto; Mrs. Cecil Kirkham (Reta), of Leaside; Joe, Hockley; Mrs. Charles Nichols (Helen), of Strathroy; Mrs. Elgin Fleming (Doris), of Hockley; Mrs. Arthur Bradley (Iola), of Alton; Bruce, at home and Austin of Mt. Dennis; five sisters and five brothers, Mrs. Robert Hayes (Mary), of Sask.; Mrs. Wesley Rothwell (Martha), of Sask.; Mrs. Peter Roche (Sadie), of Leominster, Mass.; Mrs. James Crew (Ella), of Pontiac, Michigan; Mrs. Emerson Coles (Margaret), of Hockley; John, of Hockley; Norman, Albert and Lou, of Sask., and Truman, of Kleinburg. Private service was held at the home of his son, Joe, Hockley Village. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, 7th Line, Mono. Both services were conducted by the Rev. Roy Burgess and Rev. Allan Read assisted at the graveside. On request of the family Mrs. James Tosh sang, "It is No Secret." The pallbearers were six nephews: Milfred, Joe, Norris and Ernest Coles, and Thomas and John Robbins. The floral tributes were: gates ajar, daughters; pillow, sons; wreath, Helen and Charlie; basket, grandchildren; horseshoe wreath, Albert and Norman; basket, Jim and Ella, Lou and Sadie, Mary and Martha, Maggie and Emerson; sprays, John and Velma; Mr. and Mrs. T. Smith; Hockley United Church; Lawrence, Mabel and family; Lewis, Myrtle, Earl, Laura and boys; Norris, Barbara, Lyla, Blair and Ernest; Marjorie and Leonard, Muriel and Wilburt; Angus, May and family; Annie Leonard and Lenore; Thomas and Margaret and Bob Gillespie; Roy, Milfred, Joe and Bertha; Lizzie, Emerson and girls; Mert, Reta and family; baskets, Mr. and Mrs. Emack and family; Ruby Robbins; The Robert Gair Carton division; Fred and Madeline; Norm. and Babs Kirkham and Ern. and Marge Bond; the Seventh Line Neighbours; Stanford, Russell, Earl and Ira; the Browns and Wards. The flowerbearers were: Angus, Murray and Ronnie Coles; Keith, Mac and Delbert Coles; Roy, Norman and Earl Coles; Russell Sirr, Emerson Proctor, Fred Baxter, Bill and Garry Wilson and Elmer Williams.
