He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hessey of Yakima, Washington, three sons, Joe G. of Nelson, Orin B. of Parkdale, Oregon and Ralph E. of Red Cloud; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, September 1 at 2 p.m. in the Nelson United Methodist Church with Reverend Clair Kess officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Ferebee, age 84 years and 10 days, was born August 17, 1892 at Nelson, Nebraska. He passed away August 27, at the Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior. In 1893 he moved with his family to Beaver City, where they resided for ten years. In 1903 he moved to Nuckolls County with his family where they located on the farm five miles north of Nelson. He attended the rural grade school and graduated from the Nelson High School in 1913. June 20, 1915, he was united in marriage to Anna Genieve Goodrich and started farming on their place five miles north of Nelson. To this union four children were born, Joe of Nelson, Orin of Park Dale, Oregon, Ralph of Red Cloud and Ruth of Yakima, Washington. Joe joined the United Brethren Church at an early age and waa a faithful worker in the which was located five miles north of the farm. When this rural church disband, Joe and Genieve transfered (sic) their membership to the Methodist Church of Nelson where he helped and attended until his death. _____ passing, Joe leaves to mourn his four children; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 1, 1976, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Nelson, with Rev. Clair Kess officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
