Anna Geneve Goodrich, daughter of Joseph and Minerva Goodrich was born November 15, 1892 at Nelson, Nebr., and departed this life at Mary Lanning hospital (sic), Hastings, Nebr., Aug. 23, 1957 at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 8 days. Geneve was a member of the Methodist church (sic) since early childhood and her faith in a loving and all-wise Father never faltered. She was possessed of a keen mind and an understanding heart. She received her education in the Nelson public schools and University of Nebraska, after which she taught in the public schools of Nelson and Hardy, Nebr. On June 20, 1915 she was united in marriage to Joe W. Ferebee. To this union four children were born Joseph of Edgar, Nebr., Orin of Hastings, Nebr., Ralph of Red Cloud, Nebr., and Ruth Ferebee Hessey of Pondosa, Ore. Joe and Geneve spent 35 years of their married life on a farm north of Nelson, where they raised their family of which they were proud and justly so. Seven years ago they moved to East Nelson to make their home. She loved her children, grandchildren, her neighbors and her flowers. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband, three sons, one daughter and nine grandchildren. Three sisters, Marie Pfeiffer, of Hartley, Iowa, Beulah White of Phoenix, Ariz., Helene Ferebee of Nelson, Nebr., two brothers, Richie C. Goodrich of Arcata, Calif., and Harold J. Goodrich of North Bend, Wash., a host of relatives and many friends. Her father and mother, three sisters and a brother preceded her in death. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, August 26, 1957
