Friday, June 21, 1918, at her late home in Chelsea township, where she had made her home and resided since coming here with her parents in the spring of 1881. She was born at Kalmar Lan, Sweden, August 23, 1852, coming to America in 1877 and residing in Illinois until she came to Nebraska. In her early life she gave her heart to Jesus and has ever since been an ardent and earnest Christian, holding to the love of Jesus until He took her home to dwell with Him and there to welcome home the loved ones that she has left behind in this vale of tears. She joined the United Brethren church in 1883 and remained a member until her death. She was laid to rest by the side of her father, mother and brother in the Geneva cemetery June 23. She leaves to mourn her departure two brothers, John A. Nelson, Fred Nelson and a sister, Annie C. Nelson, besides other relatives and friends. Services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Mason of Strang. Dear Josephine has gone to rest, to live with Jesus and the blest, and there she waits to welcome home the loved ones that for her now mourn; and on that bright resurrection morning we shall never say farewell.
