Beck, was born near Otterville, Illinois February 23, 1861 and died at her home at Gridley, California March 29, 1927. She came with her mother to Edgar, Nebraska in 1878 and was married to Charles E. Keana in 1884. They moved later to Denver, Colorado at which place Mr. Keana preceded her in death. Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, Apr 8 1927 - pg 1 Josephine E. Keana, daughter of Andrew L. and Emeline S. Beck, was born near Otterville, Illinois February 23, 1861 and died at her home at Gridley, California March 29, 1927. She came with her mother to Edgar, Nebraska in 1878 and was married to Charles E. Keana in 1884. They moved later to Denver, Colorado at which place Mr. Keana preceded her in death. She was the youngest of eight children and is survived by one sister, Mrs. George H. Barber of Lincoln, Nebraska, three cousins in Pennsylvania and a large number of nieces and nephews. Short services were held in the Block Mortuary House at Gridley March 30th at 2 o'clock conducted by the pastor of the Presbyterian Church of that place and the body was accompanied to Edgar by her niece Mrs. Ross Phelps of San Francisco, Calif., and final services were held in the Methodist Church April 3, at 2 P. M. conducted by the pastor Rev Johnson. She became a member of this church forty seven years ago and later the Presbyterian Church with her husband. She exemplified the Christ life in her daily living, always doing good, was a faithful steadfast friend and beloved by all who knew her. Besides her sister Mrs. Barber and husband of Lincoln and niece of San Francisco relatives attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barber and son of Elm Creek, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Vieregg of Grand Island, Mr. and Mrs. Oril Barber of Lincoln, Mrs. C. A. Beck, Mrs. Chessman Beck and Mr. and Mrs. John Beck of Beatrice.
