Born Nov. 15, 1911, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph U. and Mary (Brinker) Wempe. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Coleman; and four brothers, Raymond, the Rev. Lawrence, Frederick, and Robert Wempe. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker. Born Nov. 15, 1911, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph U. and Mary (Brinker) Wempe. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Coleman; and four brothers, Raymond, the Rev. Lawrence, Frederick, and Robert Wempe. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the church sodality and the Martha Group. She was also a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis. Surviving are two sons, Joseph F. Coleman and wife Judith, Fair Play, and Richard M. Coleman and wife Peggy, Altoona, Pa.; one brother, Leo F. Wempe, Cumberland; two sisters, Mary L. Minke and Helen E. Wempe, both of Cumberland; five grandchildren, William S. Coleman and wife Angelica, Security, Colo., J. Daniel Coleman, Elyria, Ohio, John W. Coleman, Cumberland, Joel L. Coleman, Louisville, Ken., and Robert A. Coleman and wife Karen, Alexandria, Va., five great-grandchildren, Danny, Michael, Chris, Michelle, and Matthew. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian wake service will be conducted on Sunday at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
