JOSIE DIEHL, WILL BE BURIED SUNDAY AFTERNOON Mrs. Josie "Josephine" Diehl, 67, former resident of his city, passed away yesterday morning, 2 March 1934 in a local hospital. She had been ill for the last two years. Mrs. Diehl was born in Mills County, Iowa to Aaron MELLICK and Rebecca DUNAGAN on 25 November 1866, and came to this city, Anaconda, 1897 from Manns Choice, Pennsylvania. When her husband, Benjamin F. Diehl, died here in 1918 she went to live with her daughter, Blanche Sheehan at Georgetown Lake, Montana. Later Mrs. Diehl moved with her daughter, Mrs. Sheehan to Dawson Loop, a train stop west of Butte and east of Anaconda, Montana. Besides Mrs. Sheehan, she is survived by a son, Lloyd Diehl of Portland, Oregon, two grandchildren, Frances and Winnifred Diehl of Portland, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Jennie "Jeanette" Mellick Huffman in California; a cousin, William Stanton of this city and a second cousin, Mrs. Harry Williams of this city. The funeral will be held in the P.J. Finnegan company's funeral chapel Sunday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. W.P. Jinnett of the Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be in Hill cemetery.
