She earlier was a teacher in Cloud County and worked at the Supply Depot at Forbes Air base during World War II. She was born Aug. 3, 1901, near Glasco in Cloud County, the daughter of James and Anna Elstrom Johnston. She attended school in Cloud County and was graduated from Concordia High School. Mrs. Amspacker was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Topeka. She was married to Lowell L. Amspacker, April 26, 1922, in Concordia. He died June 12, 1983. Survivors include a son, Earl L. Amspacker, Topeka; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 89th and Ratner Road. Mrs. Amspacker will lie in state from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2627 Western, 66611.
