He was born Jan. 25, 1903, near Glasco, the son of Lemmit and Estella Davis Amspacker. Mr. Amspacker farmed in the Richland and Berryton areas since 1935. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1968 after 26 years of employment. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, and the Communication Workers of America, Local 6401. Mr. Amspacker married Josephine M. Johnston on April 26, 1922, at Concordia. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Earl L. Amspacker, Topeka; a brother, Oscar Amspacker, Concordia; six sisters, Mrs. Neva Flewelling, Jamestown; Mrs. Anna Grittman, Glasco; Mrs. Vera Horn, Glasco; Mrs. Gwen Henning, Glasco; Mrs. Coral Bray, Concordia; and Mrs. Ella Richard, Courtland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Amspacker will lie in state after 9 a.m. today until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel. The casket will be closed. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2627 Western, Topeka.
