Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Evangelical church, Elder J. L. McConaughey of Bozeman conducting the service. Two songs were sung by Mrs. Floyd L. Bailey and Mrs. Ted C. Busha, with Mrs. F. R. Hickman at the piano, and Elder McConnaughey with Mrs. McConaughley as accompanist, sang a solo. Friends and flowers filled the church for the last rites. Old friends bore the body to its last resting place in Mountain View cemetery beside the grave of her husband who passed in 1925. They were E. R. Patterson, Frank Hemry, P.J. Deegan, Nick Norman, Creston L. Crest, Sheriff Ed Bartels. Born Josephine Morstein, May 6, 1857 in Netolice, Czechoslovakia,, she married Frank Gottlob there in 1879, and four years later they came to Montana settling at Grey Cliff where the husband worked for the Northern Pacific several years. They then moved to the present location on the Sweet Grass where they resided until death. They were successful in their ranching venture but most of all in their everyday living as true friends and good neighbors. Mrs. Gottlob was never heard to utter a complaint, or known to lose her sweet disposition through all her long-suffering. Nine children were born to them, six of whom live to mourn: Mrs. Mamie Buewll, of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Josie Hanson, Big Timber; Frank Gottlob, Bozeman, Mont.; Pete Gottlob, Big Timber; Mrs. Ann Hoyem, Silver Gate, Mont. and Mrs. Susie C Anderosn, Chicago. All were here for the funeral except Mrs. Anderson, who had spent the month of July with her mother. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. A brother, Joseph Morstein of this city, and a sister in Czechoslovakia survive. Among the out-of-town friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ness, of Clyde Park; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hokanson, Bozeman, Mrs. Mary Niles, Livingston and Elder and Mrs. J. L.
