G. Larson, died at South Tule last night of pneumonia. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Congregational church." Porterville Daily Recorder, Portersville, California, Dec. 16, 1914 "J. C. Marksbury, who died Monday night at Success, is survived by his widow and his daughter, Mrs. J. Larson of Success, another daughter, Mrs. Frank Osborn of Visalia, and a son and daughter in the east. The funeral will be from the Congregational church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Sidney Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in charge of J. C. McCabe." (If he has three surviving children in addition to Rose Larson, Joshua must have been married prior to his marriage to Zerelda? Rather doubt it as he was only 25 years of age when he and Zerelda married (if 1847 date of birth is correct). And why were they not listed in Zerelda's obituary?)
