Description	:	Josie Anna Hanson Lindgren was born on July 20, 1883 to Albert and Aselina Hanson on a farm near Sioux Rapids. She died Wednesday, January 14, 1987. She was the oldest of eleven children. She attended the Bennett school until she was sixteen and later took a course in dressmaking in St. Paul. She later was employed as a cook in the girls dormitory at Buena Vista College and the dormitory at Moorhead, Minnesota, along with various other housekeeping positions. Read More	Josie Anna Hanson Lindgren was born on July 20, 1883 to Albert and Aselina Hanson on a farm near Sioux Rapids. She died Wednesday, January 14, 1987. She was the oldest of eleven children. She attended the Bennett school until she was sixteen and later took a course in dressmaking in St. Paul. She later was employed as a cook in the girls dormitory at Buena Vista College and the dormitory at Moorhead, Minnesota, along with various other housekeeping positions. She was married to Arthur Lindgren on January 25, 1946 and they lived on a farm near Marathon. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church at Marathon. She enjoyed baking, reading, sewing, gardening and collecting. She made her home at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Albert City for several years. Survivors include her stepchildren Norma, Mrs. Harry Bone of Kansas City and Fern Butterfield of Storm Lake and step-children-in-law, Marie Lindgren and Paul Skarshaug of Ames, nine step-grandchildren and 13 step-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two stepchildren, Eva Skarshaug who was buried on Thursday, January 15 at Ames and Austin Lindgren, parents and her 10 brothers and sisters, Helmer, Rena, Louella, Agnes, Aldine, Wilfred, Minnie, Archie, Lewis and Nell.
