Description	:	JOSIE HOLTE, 94 Josie Holte, 94, of Lunds Valley, died Friday, Sept. 22, in a Minot nursing home. A graveside funeral was held Monday, Sept. 25, in Lunds Valley Cemetery. She was born Aug. 25, 1901, at Hayfield, Mn., to Anfin and Bertina Anderson. She came with her parents to a farm in Burke County as a young girl and attended school there. Read More	JOSIE HOLTE, 94 Josie Holte, 94, of Lunds Valley, died Friday, Sept. 22, in a Minot nursing home. A graveside funeral was held Monday, Sept. 25, in Lunds Valley Cemetery. She was born Aug. 25, 1901, at Hayfield, Mn., to Anfin and Bertina Anderson. She came with her parents to a farm in Burke County as a young girl and attended school there. She married John Holte Dec. 1, 1923. They farmed near Linds Valley. She also worked as a cook in the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley. Her husband died in 1953. She continued to work at the Mountrail Bethel Home until 1966. She then moved to Washington state to be near her daughter. She lived in Monroe and Snohomish, both in Washington. She returned to North Dakota in 1991 and lived at the Kenmare Baptist Home until 1992 when she entered Trinity Nursing Home in Minot. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Lunds Valley. She is remembered for her many crafts, dolls and crocheting. Survivors: daughter, Junice Axelson of Monroe; sons, Howard of Powers Lake and Pleonard of Stanley, Wa.; brothers, Raymond of Rosemount, Mn., Milo of Temple, Az.; sisters, Olga Evans of Ontario, Canada, Alma Iverson of Saskatchewan, Canada, Ruth Almli, of Zumbrota, Mn., Elizabeth Nickerson of Faribault, Mn., Marion Steberg of Zumbrota; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
