Description	:	Josie Boe, 78, a lifetime resident of Sweet Grass County, passed away in her sleep early Sunday morning, October 9. She was born October 14, 1904 at the Raisland homestead on American Fork, a daughter of Christina and Sivert Raisland. She moved with her parents in the fall of 1912 to Wild Cat on the Sweet Grass. She attended Sourdough School. On April 21, 1925 she was married to Christopher Boe in Big Timber, MT. They ranched north of Springdale until Mr. Boe's death on January 9, 1952. She was born October 14, 1904 at the Raisland homestead on American Fork, a daughter of Christina and Sivert Raisland. She moved with her parents in the fall of 1912 to Wild Cat on the Sweet Grass. She attended Sourdough School. On April 21, 1925 she was married to Christopher Boe in Big Timber, MT. They ranched north of Springdale until Mr. Boe's death on January 9, 1952. She has resided in Big Timber since. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest pleasure. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Walter, one daughter Edna, two grandchildren and one sister. Survivors include two sons, James Boe of St. Maries, ID, and George Boe of Helena, MT; four daughters, Sigrid Preston of Richland, WA, Cora Baldwin of Missoula, MT, Betty Nygaard and Hilda Fredericks, both of Big Timber; fifteen grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Allestad of Big Timber; two brothers, Ben and Selmar Raisland, both of Big Timber. Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm at the Lowry Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Haugen of the Big Timber Lutheran Church officiating.
