Description	:	Joy Ruel Kinder was born to Charles and Maimie Robertson Kinder. He lived and worked in Oklahoma, Texas Colorado and California. He married Floella Bohannan on December 1, 1933 in San Bernardino, California. In 1945 they moved to Granger, Washington where he worked at the Hanford site as a carpenter until his retirement. He married Floella Bohannan on December 1, 1933 in San Bernardino, California. In 1945 they moved to Granger, Washington where he worked at the Hanford site as a carpenter until his retirement. He was elected member of the Granger City Council, a member of the Granger Lions Club and Received the 25 Year Perfect Attendance Award. He was Lion of the year in 1971-72, 79-80 and 83-84. He was president of the Lions Club. Every year he helped with the Granger Cherry Festival, selling tickets and working on the floats. After his retirement he did a lot of carpentry work around Granger. One of his greatest pleasures was his large vegetable garden he planted every year, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed his grandchildren and Great Grandchildern, he loved to watch them play. He was survived by his daughter, Kathleen and husband Paul R Campbell of Yakima, sons Jimmie and wife Joanne Kinder of San Antonio, Texas, Richard and wife Elizabeth Kinder of Gold Canyon, Arizona; 8 grand chhildren and 8 Great Grand children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Floella Bohannan in 1990, his parents; 3 sisters and 6 brothers, of which one was his twin who died in 1994 and first grandson, Timmy Lions in 1967 Joy was always ready to help anyone in need. In our heats and minds. Joy will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him, but what he left behind in values and lessons will continue through the generations he left to follow. In 1985, December Joy reminiscence of the past as captured by Grand Daughter Susan L Kinder-Rowan in Yakima, Washington. Grandad was born in Comanchee, Oklahoma in 1906. There were a total of 10 children in the family. One child, Otto died as a baby in 1895. His father and wife Charley and Mammie took the Kinder Children in wagons to an adventist camp that met in Oklahoma City. From there Granddad began his education on the adventist religion philosopy. In 1912, Russell one of Grandad's brothers died at the age of 5 years from the Flue. Grandad was approximately 6 years old. He recalled of the time when he and some friends were playing. His Friends dared Grandad to go to the neighbors chicken pen and suck an egg. Because that it was a dare, Grandad preceeded to comply
