Description	:	Judy Parry, 58, of Genoa, Nebraska, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Genoa Community Hospital, LTC. A private celebration of Judy's life will be held. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ramaekers Patrick Funeral Chapel in Genoa. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery. Read More	Judy Parry, 58, of Genoa, Nebraska, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Genoa Community Hospital, LTC. A private celebration of Judy's life will be held. Judy was born July 4, 1955, in Genoa, Nebraska, to Bill and Virginia (Winkel) Parry. She was taught at home by her mother with a visiting teacher. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1973 and then attended Kearney State College where she received her teaching degree. She was a teacher at Spalding Academy and also in Centerville, Iowa where she lived since 1987. She also worked at two long term care units in Centerville. Judy loved teaching and once said "when I taught little ones I had to put up with parents, now I care for the older ones and I have to put up with their kids". She was always very independent in taking care of her legal and medical affairs besides being in at least 20 hospitals. But through it all, she never asked "why me" or complained about her life. She learned to crochet and made many items for friends, especially in Centerville, always remembering nephews and cousins with their school colors. She was a longtime lover of cats, hers being snowflake, Tiger, Shadow, and most recently Rowdy. Judy was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Centerville where she served as president of the women's group, and a member of the ALA of Genoa for 41 years helping with Child Welfare Fund, bake sales, and Poppy Day. Judy is survived by: Mother: Virginia Parry of Monroe, NE Brother: Dan (Chris) Parry of Monroe, NE Sister: Linda (Phil) Pelc of Stromsburg, NE Aunt: Leola Mark of Columbus, NE Aunt: Anita Jilka of Hanover, IL Aunt: Lois Cramer of Geneva IL Uncle: Kenneth Choyinski of Northlake, IL Judy was preceded in death by: Father: Bill Parry Grandparents: Ben & Bernice Winkel Grandparents: Owen and Elva Parry 2 cousins 3 uncles
